Tuesday, March 9, 2010 - Over the course of the last few weeks members of TEAM 8-1 have been participating in the Department of Health Special Vehicle Rescue Class hosted by York County Station 41, Wrightsville. In addition to 8-1 and 41 we were also joined by 7-9, 21 and 44 members. The class consisted of 8 hours of class room lecture and then an 8 hour day of practical testing with the completion being a state written examination. A total of 31 students completed the intense program geared toward extrication in larger commercial vehicles. Special thanks to all Instructors and Lead Instructor Rickenback as well as Station 41 personnel for all of the vehicle coordination and for providing lunch. Congratulations to all TEAM 8-1 members who have obtained yet another certification, great job!
